Questions & Answers
Will I be able to continue pilates on my own after a retreat
or workshop?
I offer a hand out at the workshop or retreat which tells you some
of the basic things. If you have just completed a workshop, you probably
need to continue with classes or another retreat before you'd remember
everything you've learnt.
Can I go to a retreat alone or will I feel out of place?
Many people come to a retreat alone These weeks tend to attract
a similar types of people. I've always found that the group mix really
well, without getting in each other’s space if you want time
and space to read and relax.
What age group goes to your retreats?
I get a very mixed group on the retreats and workshops. The
youngest I've had is probably around 24 and the oldest - 70! So it's
a mixed bag and I think that works best.

I have back injuries from an accident. Can I still
come to the retreat?
Pilates does attract people who have some sort of injury. The most
important thing whether coming to my retreat or going to someone else's
classes is to let the teacher know the problems so that we can work
around the injuries accordingly. There are always modified exercises
if there are particular exercises you can't do. With severe injury,
it is important that you bring a Doctor’s note and discuss in
advance.
Can I have massage and continue with pilates when
I return home?
Juliet will be happy to organise massage when you get back or could
recommend someone in your area. Sarah has also continued with several
clients who she has met on the retreats with one2one sessions at their
house. Some people come and attend classes.
