Where is Son Ametler?
Located just out of earshot of the small village of Moscari in the Western part of Mallorca, Son Ametler Hotel is 35 minutes from Palma and its international airport. Only 20 minutes from the beaches of Pollenca and Alcudia. It is in a rural area which has seen the steady development of a number of high quality Agroturismos and local restaurants including Santi Taura , Miceli , Joan-Marc and Ca Na Toneta wich are all 10 minutes drive away. Hotel Son Ametler’s fresh, homely food, and the choice of quality places to go out, combine to offer a relaxing break with high quality gourmet tourism. Son Ametler has 25,000m2 of farm and rural land, perfect to wander through, as well as terraces and a large 9mx9m square swimming pool. The area is very quiet, and the hotel is not overlooked as the nearest neighbours are well out of range!
A perfect setting for a relaxing Pilates retreat.
Why would you join Sarah on her Pilates holiday?
I have been holding my Pilates retreat holidays in Majorca twice a year, for the past 10 years. Every time we visit, we are treated like Kings and Queens by our hospitable host and hostess James and Paola.
How does the day begin?
We start the day with an early morning two hour Pilates class. After Pilates, we indulge in the delights of freshly served breakfast. Followed by rest, massage or go for a wander around the counrtyside until lunchtime. A light lunch and more relaxation in the afternoon. Around 5pm we have another Pilates class. All classes end with relaxation or meditation. Following class, we meet for dinner around 8pm. We repeat this all again the following day. Although I include one half hour massage in the trip, many people do extend it to a full hour and even book more massages if time allows.
Is Son Ametler easy to get to?
Arrival times at Son Ametler are flexible according to flights. I normally hire a car at the airport and whoever arrives around that time can come with me and split car hire costs. Or you can hire your own car, or take a taxi from outside the front of the airport. On arrival at the hotel, James or Paola will greet us and show us to the rooms and around the hotel. You will see the room or outdoor terrace we use for Pilates classes. You can spend the rest of the day freshening up, relaxing and then in the evening we meet for pre-dinner drinks followed by a leisurely dinner. I have client forms which I go through with each person individually so that we can start fresh an early with the Pilates class in the morning.
When do we leave?
Departure times are also flexible. We will be told if any of the rooms are needed early. Most flights are in the afternoon so many people leave early afternoon or before.
If you have an early arrival or late departure, we can help to organise a lunch for you at a small cost. Some people do arrive a day early or stay a day late and there is always a special rate to do this.
Read the testimonials – they speak for themselves.
Do feel free to read the pilates testimonials on my site. I have had so many lovely comments from my Pilates retreats that I thought they were worth sharing with you. Many of my pilates students return again and again to my pilates holiday so I feel very flattered and honoured that I am doing something right. Regardless as to whether you are a new to me Pilates student or old familiar Pilates student, you will receive the same 5 star treatment I offer and the hotels I use offer. I look forward to welcoming you and working you very hard very soon.
